Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt

The Beneva Group has recently been engaged by one of our top clients, an industry leading manufacturer, to identify their next Master Black Belt.  The MBB will be based at a large plant located in the Northeast Philadelphia area.  This MBB will use Lean Six Sigma strategies to lead divisional initiatives, cost reductions, and process improvement projects to increase customer satisfaction and the bottom line.  The MBB will coach and mentor Green Belts and Black Belts to the certification while identifying projects and developing strategies to effectively utilize the Lean Six Sigma methodology.  In addition, the MBB will ensure the integrity of the process, tools, and data are used to drive business results, help to develop a culture of data-based decision making in the company, and drive Voice of Customer results.  The MBB will identify, communicate, and leverage best practices across the organization, manage complex projects, and participate as a key member of project review teams.  Success in this role can lead to advancement.

The successful candidate must have a BS/BA degree (technical preferred) plus 7 to 10+ years of progressive work experience in a manufacturing environment (process industry or high-volume manufacturing preferred).   The candidate must also be a certified Master Black Belt.  A Master’s degree is a strong plus.  Additional qualifications include:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams that drive business results
  • Ability to make data-based decisions using the Lean/Six Sigma Methodology
  • High level of integrity and professionalism
  • Passion and sense of urgency for executing performance improvement projects
  • Strong leadership skills (Previous management experience a plus)
  • Technical expertise of Lean/Six Sigma methodology and associated statistical tools
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal, presentation)
  • Ability to travel
