Are you a lean deployment leader who has lead policy deployment (Hoshin Kanri) across an entire company or acquisition? Have you established KPI’s and provided project leadership across all functions in a multiple-plant manufacturer? If so, this could be an excellent opportunity with a growing company.

The Company

Our client is an established $850MM+ manufacturer of packaging materials sold to a large variety of industries through specialty industrial distribution channels.  They also sell into international and retail channels.  This 30+ year old company is well established in its markets with a broad product line and solid reputation. With executive offices on Florida’s Gulf coast, this manufacturing company offers a fast paced stimulating environment with excellent growth potential. They have recently made three acquisitions.

The Position

The Corporate Lean Champion will partner with executive leadership to initiate policy deployment / Hoshin Kanri Company wide. The Lean Leader, reporting to the VP Transformation, will develop and initiate Hoshin Kanri plan for the company. He/she will train, lead, coach, and mentor senior managers, project leads, cross functional teams and C/I leaders to achieve stainable improvement in productivity, profitability and customer satisfaction  in both manufacturing and non-manufacturing functions. The Lean Champion will be a key player in policy deployment supporting the company’s merger and acquisition integration programs. This is a great ground floor opportunity to initiate a lean program.

Candidate Qualifications

The qualified candidate must have a BS/BA degree (technical preferred) and ten years of progressive work experience.  Advanced degree desired.  The candidate must also have extensive experience with companywide policy deployment.  Additional qualifications include:

  •  Relationship management and influencing skills both at C-level and production floor
  • Demonstrated ability to drive lean operation systems across multiple functions
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams at all levels to drive business results
  • Experience with private equity, independent consultant or a company known for policy deployment
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Passion and sense of urgency for executing performance improvement programs
  • Black belt certification preferred
  • Ability to travel as required


The client offers an attractive base salary depending upon experience, plus an incentive bonus.  In addition, the company offers a complete benefits package including company-matching 401(k) and additional company contributions for retirement. 


This position is located in a beautiful resort area of Southwestern Gulf-Coast Florida. The area has elegant shopping, fine dining and cultural attractions. Located near some of the country’s best beaches, this community is also known for its excellent healthcare, limited traffic, and sunny days. A large metro area is nearby. Relocation assistance is offered.  The client would also consider a home based (virtual) location in the eastern or central time zones near a major airport.
